Deborah was Rebeca's nurse.

Deborah was Rebeca's nurse. Deborah has always served Rebeca and must have been very dear to her children, with the passing of time she became part of the family of Jacob's son, perhaps to help raise her many children. She was responsible for helping with the creation of Esau and Jacob. She is mentioned by name in the Bible in (Genesis 35: 8) when she passed away. She was buried at Bethel, under an oak that Jacob called Alom-Bacute, which means weeping oak. In (Genesis 24:59), the Bible shows that when Rebekah was leaving Padan-Aram to marry Isaac, Rebekah left with her nurse (Deborah) and Abraham's servant. The Bible does not reveal why or when Deborah started to live with Jacob's family.
