AZENATE, beautiful woman and little the bible comments. Potífera was a priest from the city of Om in ancient Egypt, mentioned in Genesis 41:45 and Genesis 41:50 of the Hebrew Bible. He was the father of Azenath, who was given to Joseph as his wife by Pharaoh, and from whom two sons were born: Manasseh and Ephraim. But AZENATE gave birth to two children to her husband Joseph. And Pharaoh said to his servants, Would we find a man like this in whom there is the spirit of God? Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, For God has made all this known to you, no one is as understanding and wise as you. You will be over my house, and all my people will be governed by your mouth, only on the throne will I be greater than you. Pharaoh said to Joseph, “You see, I have put you here over the whole land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took the ring out of his hand, and put it in Joseph's hand, and made him wear fine linen, and put a gold necklace around his neck. And he made him climb into the second car he had, and they cried out before him: Kneel down. So he put it over the whole land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh; but without you no one will raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
